LED Lighting Upgrade Great Western Arcade, Birmingham

The Project Brief here was to change the entire lighting in the main Shopping Arcade to LED, however specifically reusing the existing feature lighting fittings and fixtures in order to preserve the original/traditional ambiance of this Victorian Shopping Arcade. We converted existing Victorian style lampposts with globes using LED lamps and drivers. A large chandelier was lowered to the floor to then be dismantled and rewired for LED drivers and lamps.
We added new linear led lights to up-light arches and wash the ceiling with light.
The whole project was carried out in a safe environment with health and safety as a main priority due to the constant need to be working at height and the site was kept clean at all times.
Our Client - Luxrapide and J-Elec have continued to work on future projects following the success of the Great Western Arcade LED lighting upgrade.

Electrical condition report The Royal Statistical Society, Errol Street, London

J-Elec were approached to carry out the test and inspection of the Sub main and 9 three phase Distribution Boards within The Royal Statistical Society's head office in London.
The testing was carried with accurate efficiency. In this instance the client had made us aware the offices were occupied so a fuse finder was used before any circuits were switched off. All essential supplies remained on at all times whilst the offices were occupied and these circuits were then tested out of hours, as agreed with our client and for their complete convenience.
Whilst the ECR was carried out we made recommendations and improvements to the existing installation making it a safer and more energy efficient environment. This has now continued with ongoing works with The RSS in order to save energy and reduce their carbon footprint.
